The Consumer Finance Ratings Company was created to encourage responsible lending within the fast growing payday loans industry, an area not covered by other credit reference agencies. The company's primary function is to act as an impartial conduit for information sharing between businesses within the financial sector whilst preserving the anonymity and security of the participants and their data.

ParkerFox were approached to design and implement the technology to create the data sharing agency and to assist with introducing clients to the service and guiding them through the integration process. Based on the principal of reciprocity, the resulting system allows users to upload data and search for data contained within the CFRC database. Clients are provided with secure areas for data upload, and are given full control over user management within their own organisation allowing for individuals to be assigned permissions as is seen appropriate.

An API is also available to allow for tighter integration of the credit scoring mechanism with client's own bespoke systems; allowing clients to streamline their own decision making processes.
