The growth in the digital music market has had a significant impact on the compilation album market. My Play Disc, aims to fill a niche in the music compilation and gift sector by leveraging its unique hybrid CD technology with allows for additional audio data to be written to a CD already containing standard data.

In return for a shareholding in the company, ParkerFox created a demonstration of the technology, allowing the user to place the CD into a computer and using a program already browse and purchase (via points already allocated to the CD) tracks from using software already contained on the CD. Songs that were subsequently purchased were then written to the CD and artwork and tracklistings for the CD made available for download and printing.
