TradeX is a specialist in trade motor insurance and was listed as one of the Sunday Times Profit Track 100 companies in 2005. ParkerFox were called upon to design and implement an innovative product that would provide a mechanism by which car dealerships could quickly insure and check for stolen motor vehicles via SMS.

The resulting system is capable of providing real time vehicle query information from the DVLA to mobile devices as well as enabling the instant activation and deactivation of insurance policies. Each request sent to the SMS gateway is managed via user defined scripts which allowed for complex 'conversations' between the TradeX system and the client for situations where additional feedback was required. The TradeX administrative system allowed for the definition of new scripts, as well as providing a secure interface for staff to process insurance requests and track customer usage of the system.
