Silverpicks is an independent Bristol based retailer, specialising in music themed jewellery. Implemented on a profit share basis, silverpicks.co.uk was one of the first ecommerce sites to be built with the Ruby on Rails framework. This early adaptation of technology has resulted in a significant boost in both public profile ahead of its competitors and sales. The automation of the purchasing and many customer service aspects has also allowed for staff overheads to be kept low and hence profit maximised.
